Some Republican Poll Numbers

Both Republicans and the Liberal Media have made much of Obama's drop in popularity over the summer, but hardly anyone is reporting on the current popularity of the Republican party.

According to these numbers from Research 2000, Obama remains by far the most popular national political figure, much more popular than either Congressional Dems or especially Republicans:
  • President Obama Favorable: 54%.
  • Senator Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R): 18%
  • House Minority Leader John Boehner (R): 12%
  • Congressional Dems: 38%
  • Congressional Republicans: 17%
  • Democratic Party: 40%
  • Republican Party: 22%
It's clear Americans are sick of politicians in general, but they trust Republican leaders even less than they trust the president. Maybe Obama knows what he's doing after all.
