My little blog about the entertainment revolution the other night failed to give any credit whatsoever to Mark Cuban (Lasseter, Iger, and Jobs come in a nice Disney package, but they aren't the only men changing the world). Cuban owns Magnolia Pictures, Landmark Theaters, HDNet, and a handful of other important indie related operations . Specifically, he's the mastermind behind Steven Soderbergh's BUBBLE, the movie grabbing headlines for being released simultaneously in theaters, on television, and on DVD. He recently wrote this blog, eviscerating the other NATO for mounting a religious war over "Day and Date" release strategies (i.e. the BUBBLE model). Brilliant. These guys are my fucking heroes.
